Peter is a fire fighter in Florida. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Amanda, while they were on their first Colorado vacation. Peter and Amanda have never seen snow before (Florida is not known for amazing winter sports!). After a few phone calls between Peter and I, we deiced that Sapphire Point Overlook near Frisco, CO would be perfect. Peter really wanted BIG mountains in the background. I explained that I typically hide and from my vantage point I would not be able to capture Peak One in the background. Peter and I modified our plan. I would not be hidden but instead I would act like a typical tourist taking mountain photographs as the two approached. Peter was a bit nervous about his exact positioning and just before he proposed Amanda asked me if I would mind taking a photo of the two with their camera. I obliged, and then when Amanda was taking in the amazing views I motioned for Peter to drop to one knee. This is what it looked like from my angle….
